What a great achievement by a wonderful lady. Id be interested in finding out what sort of training that was done and if Pat has done any competitive open water swims.
Steve, Thank you for your comment. I train 5 to 6 days per week.....I have short training days of one hour swims and every couple of weeks a long swim day of 3+ hours. My swim training is similar training pattern of a marathon runner. They don't run a marathon every day. They run short distances each day and every 2 weeks a long run. Likewise, I swim instead of run. As far as competition, I prefer solo marathon swims, however I have competed in the Alcatraz swim, Great Chesapeake Bay Swim, and the Peaks to Portland. Thank you again for your comment.
